Today we went to the ruins of the old Leon, former capital of the Nicaraguan Province at that time and classified world heritage by Unesco. The town was found in the 16th century and a abandoned less than 90 years later because of two successive earthquake and volcano eruption. The cool thing is that we were the only tourists!!! We even had the guided tour in..sort of English. We learned lots of interesting like how Mr. Diego schmurz de Vasconscelo de mi amore was beheaded and were he was found 3 century later! Interesting.
